Year in Review: 2015

2015 has been a pretty amazing year. I did a lot of traveling, made some new friends, accomplished some pretty great things, read a lot of good books, and made it through without nary a broken bone (always an accomplishment in my book). Here are some of the highlights:

  • I finished a draft of my first complete novel. Woooo! Next step: editing. Whew.

  • I co-wrote a short film called The Delivery Girl with some of my college friends as a part of our Youtube production group which we then began the process of filming.
  • I turned 22 (cue Taylor Swift song)
  • I went to England over spring break as a teaching assistant for a class on Harry Potter and children’s literature, got to visit all sorts of literary sites in England including The Eagle and the Child and the Harry Potter Studio tour, and just had a blast.

  • I graduated from Vanderbilt University after four challenging but rewarding years with degrees in English and Child Studies.

Year in Review: 2015

2015 ushered me into a new chapter of my life. For the first time in almost eighteen years I’m not a full-time student. I’m finally (sort of) out in the world, and that is sometimes confusing, frequently scary, but, I’m also realizing, maybe kind of exciting, too. I’m ready to see where 2016 takes me and to face the challenges and triumphs of a new year head on.

Bring it, 2016!
